Sanitation worker dies in tragic garbage truck accident

In the morning hours in the Çal district of Denizli, 33-year-old Ahmet Temiz, who worked as a sanitation employee for the municipality, suffered a tragic accident during routine work being carried out in the neighborhoods with a garbage collection vehicle. While attempting to empty a trash container into the vehicle, Temiz lost his balance and fell into the compaction mechanism at the rear of the truck, where he became trapped.

Upon realizing the incident, his colleagues immediately called for help. Health and police teams arrived at the scene in a short time and performed the first intervention on the severely injured Temiz. Despite all the long-lasting efforts of the doctors, Temiz, who was immediately taken to Çal State Hospital, could not be saved and lost his life.

The unexpected loss caused great sadness among Ahmet Temiz's family and colleagues. Following the accident, security units launched a detailed investigation into whether occupational safety rules were followed and the circumstances under which the incident occurred.
