In Zonguldak, cracks have appeared in a retaining wall on Kadırga Street in the Meşrutiyet neighborhood, the same location where a house previously collapsed, resulting in a loss of life.
After it was determined that the wall was shifting forward, the street was closed to vehicle traffic to prevent any potential danger. While security measures have been taken in the area, no statement has yet been made regarding when traffic will return to normal.
On October 21, Türkan Özhan lost her life and Kenan Akçaharman was injured when a house collapsed on the same street. The measures to be taken regarding the damaged retaining wall are expected to be clarified following an assessment.
