Tension in Beyoğlu escalates into armed conflict
A dispute between a hotel owner and a cafe owner on Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu escalated into an armed conflict. Two people were injured, and police have detained three individuals in connection with the incident.
In an incident that occurred in the morning hours in the Şehit Muhtar neighborhood of Beyoğlu, a dispute between a hotel owner on Istiklal Avenue and the owner of a neighboring cafe quickly escalated into an armed conflict.
Two people were injured after the hotel owner opened fire on the cafe owner and an employee. The injured were taken to the hospital by medical teams that arrived at the scene.
Following the incident, teams from the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau quickly apprehended the hotel owner and two other individuals involved in the incident. During the searches, two pistols used in the incident were seized. The street where the incident took place was closed off with security tape and reopened to traffic after investigations were completed.

The moment of the incident was recorded by a bystander on a mobile phone. The footage shows the dispute between the two business owners and the subsequent firing of weapons. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
