The match in which Galatasaray will host Stuttgart in the 4th week of the Champions League has caused changes in the broadcast schedules of television channels. It was reported that the plans for new episodes were postponed because the match broadcast time coincided with some TV series.
It is noted that advertising revenues in the television sector have declined, the 12-minute advertising slots allocated per hour cannot be fully filled, and production costs per episode have reached the level of 35-40 million TL. Due to this situation, it is stated that channels are making more cautious broadcast plans for special days and important match nights, especially for high-budget productions.
Following the break given to some series last week due to the October 29 Republic Day, the European cup match has also affected the broadcast schedule this week. It was reported that the new episode of "Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı" on TRT, which coincides with the same time as the Galatasaray-Stuttgart match, will not be aired.
Additionally, it was stated that the new episodes of the series "Haysiyet" broadcast on Kanal D, "Anne Yarısı" on Now TV, and "Tuzlu Kahve" on Star TV will not be aired this week.
