Convention message from Ekrem İmamoğlu

Presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu made statements regarding the CHP's 22nd Extraordinary Convention. Evaluating his party's convention while in detention, İmamoğlu emphasized that Chairman Özgür Özel had renewed his mandate.

Expressing his satisfaction with the convention, İmamoğlu said, "Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, renewed his mandate by receiving all of the valid votes." Furthermore, stating that those who wanted to sow discord within the party during the convention process have lost, he added, "Those who wanted to use the law as a stick to tear apart the CHP, the apple of the nation's eye, have lost. Those who became tools for the government's malicious games have lost."

In his statement, İmamoğlu expressed that the CHP stood in unity during a difficult period and resisted the traps set against them together. "At the 22nd Extraordinary Convention, which gathered upon the invitation of our delegates, our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel renewed his mandate by receiving all of the valid votes," said İmamoğlu, noting that this result is a gain for Turkish democracy and the nation.

Stating that Chairman Özgür Özel's dedication was rewarded with the strong support of their organization, İmamoğlu said, "With this result, democracy has won. Turkey has won. The nation has won. We are stronger together; we will continue on our path with determination."
