The Quintet Security Summit, held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, with the participation of Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, has concluded. Representing Turkey at the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, and MIT Director İbrahim Kalın.
The final declaration released after the summit stated that critical decisions were made to ensure regional security and stability. The statement announced that a joint operations center would be established as part of cooperation in the fight against DAESH.
MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FOR SYRIA
The joint declaration condemned all initiatives threatening Syria's security and emphasized full support for the security measures taken by the Damascus administration. The statement included the following remarks:
"Syria's stability and security are of vital importance for regional peace. Support will be provided for all measures taken by the Syrian government, and cooperation will be increased during this process."
