Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş answered questions from deputies at the Planning and Budget Committee. Kurtulmuş made evaluations regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" process and steps toward democratization.
Drawing attention to attempts to hinder the process, Kurtulmuş stated, "Those who play spoiler will be crushed by the game they have set up. Those who chase their own agendas will be crushed under them."
Speaking about the framework law, Kurtulmuş stated that as Parliament, they would take responsibility for implementing the democratization steps included in Article 7. Kurtulmuş said, "We will fulfill every responsibility that falls upon us to realize the democratization steps in Article 7."
Emphasizing the importance of the process for the peoples of the region, Kurtulmuş assessed, "A door has been opened. The winners will be the peoples of this region, and the losers will be the barons of terror and war."
