MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız made statements at the Parliament.
Regarding the fund investigation, Yıldız said, "Our state is taking all necessary measures. It is conducting all necessary follow-ups. Let us trust our state. It will not allow anyone to violate the rights and laws of the orphan, the poor, and the destitute. The legal process is ongoing." Emphasizing the principle of the presumption of innocence, Yıldız stated, "Until there is a final verdict, I will not say 'this person is guilty, this person is innocent.' For me, they are only a suspect."
Responding to another question, Yıldız noted that he did not see a need for the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry commission on this matter, stating, "This is entirely a judicial issue."
MONITORING COMMISSION
Regarding a question about the second opening process called a Terror-Free Turkey, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated that he expects the Monitoring Commission to be established within a week or 10 days.
Yıldız said that the duty of the commission, which will be established with the participation of deputies according to the representation ratios of the parties in Parliament, is to monitor and that it will not have sanctioning authority. Yıldız used the expressions, "The number of members could be 17, as it is in the intelligence commission, or it could be a lower number. I think our Parliament Speaker will send a letter to the parties for member notification today or tomorrow."
