A new development has occurred regarding Melis Sütşurup Sandal, the wife of singer Mustafa Sandal, and her father Cihan Sütşurup in the capital markets fund investigation. According to a report by Sabah, lawyers for the father and daughter, who are stated to be abroad, have applied to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to request the return of the profits reported to have been obtained from TERA funds.
According to account statements reflected in the investigation file, it was recorded that Melis Sütşurup Sandal invested 13 billion 673 million liras into TERA's TLY fund in 2026, and that 15 billion 793 million liras in fund withdrawals occurred from her accounts in the same year.
Based on this data, Sandal obtained a profit of 2 billion 355 million 287 thousand liras from the TERA TLY fund alone. The report stated that Sandal ranked first in the 2026 individual profit rankings and had a balance of 249 million 992 thousand liras in the fund as of September 16, 2026.
RETURN PROCESS WILL PROCEED THROUGH THE SDIF
In the same file, it was alleged that Cihan Sütşurup also invested 3 billion 707 million liras into the fund throughout 2026. It was reported that Sütşurup ranked sixth in the individual profit rankings with a profit of 639 million 402 thousand 912 liras, and that he had a balance of 72 million 757 thousand liras in his account as of September 16, 2026.
It was stated that the father and daughter went abroad after obtaining a total profit of 2 billion 994 million liras from the TERA fund. In the application made to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by the lawyers of Melis Sütşurup Sandal and Cihan Sütşurup, who are reported to be wanted as part of the investigation, it was stated that they wish to return the money obtained from the fund.
It was noted that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office directed the lawyers to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) for administrative and financial procedures.
