The DEVA Ankara branch's decision to quote a post by MP Ertuğrul Kaya to criticize Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş has drawn significant backlash on social media. Comments under the post included, "They came to be the 'remedy' (DEVA), but they supposedly became pro-government."

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan's recent social media activity and statements in media outlets close to the AKP have drawn attention. Babacan, who attended the reception at the Presidential Palace for the October 29 Republic Day, was seen in friendly photos with Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek. These images led to speculation in Ankara's political circles, with questions such as, "Is Babacan returning to the AKP?"

DEVA TARGETS YAVAŞ

The DEVA Party Ankara Provincial Presidency made a new post quoting the words of DEVA Party Gaziantep MP Ertuğrul Kaya, who had told Yavaş: "My friend, ever since I came to Ankara, I've been in and out of the repair shop because of potholes. Now the shock absorber has burst. I won't change it. Because it's not the shock absorber that needs changing! What do you think?" DEVA continued its opposition toward Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş. The post made from the Ankara branch's X (formerly Twitter) account read:

"If the water is cut off at home, the metro is constantly breaking down, and you have to climb stairs that are called 'escalators' but don't actually move. You are definitely in Ankara."
