Response from Mansur Yavaş's camp to Selvi's claim: 'Completely a product of imagination'

A claim brought to the agenda regarding Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has been denied by Yavaş's camp.

A sharp response came from Yavaş's press advisor to the behind-the-scenes information conveyed by Hürriyet columnist Abdülkadir Selvi in his column.

In his article, Selvi stated that certain claims were being discussed in Ankara political circles following Yavaş's decision not to attend the CHP's anniversary events and his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Selvi wrote that it was alleged that Yavaş said, 'I do not want to go to prison at this age.'

The claims in question were rejected by Mansur Yavaş's press advisor.

In a statement made to Sözcü, it was emphasized that the expression conveyed by Selvi does not reflect the truth.

Mr. Selvi's aforementioned claim is entirely a product of his own imagination. In recent days, he has begun to use untrue and harsh expressions about Mr. Yavaş in his columns. Do not give credence to anything not heard directly from Mansur Yavaş's own mouth.
