AKP member Savcı Sayan, in a post on his social media account, directed a series of questions to BRSA President Şahap Kavcıoğlu regarding the fund investigation being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Sayan described the allegations he brought to the agenda as "serious and grave," stating that the public is awaiting answers.
Among Sayan's questions were allegations regarding whether Kavcıoğlu called Emre Tezmen on the phone and asked him to purchase Pusula Holding and Katılımevim, whether he said "Brother Emre, come let's have a coffee together" shortly before the fund crisis erupted, and whether the provision of 20 billion TL was requested during said meeting.
The post also questioned whether a promise was made to provide a 35 billion TL loan via Takasbank in exchange for 20 billion TL, why this loan was not disbursed, and the allegation that a person close to Kavcıoğlu holds shares in Pusula Holding and Katılımevim.
Sayan also raised the question of whether the BRSA had previously monitored the activities of the firms he described in his post as being "linked to the fund network." He asked Kavcıoğlu whether a report had been prepared on this matter and whether the relevant ministries and institutions had been informed about potential risks.
HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS POSED BY AKP'S SAYAN:
??STARTING THIS EVENING, I AM BEGINNING MY QUESTIONS. My first questions are to the BRSA president. My questions will be short, clear, and sequential. I am asking you on behalf of the public.. DEAR BRSA PRESIDENT. 1??Did you call Emre Tezmen on the phone and ask him to buy Pusula Holding and Katılımevim, and did you receive a refusal? 2??Did you call Emre Tezmen on the phone a few days before the fund crisis erupted and say, "Brother Emre, come let's have a coffee together."? 3??In this meeting, did you ask Emre Tezmen to provide 20 billion TL to save Pusula and Katılımevim? And who was present at the meeting? 4??It is said that you tried to save Pusula and Katılımevim at the expense of sinking Tera; is this allegation true? 5??In exchange for 20 billion, did you say, "I will give you a 35 billion TL loan from Takasbank on Monday."? 6??Is it true that you used the 20 billion TL allegedly transferred by Emre Tezmen to save the shares of high-level bureaucrats and politicians close to you? 7??Why did Takasbank not give a loan to Emre Tezmen on Monday? If legislation was an obstacle, how and why was this promise made? 8??It is said that a relative or kin of yours holds a 2.5% stake in Pusula Holding and a 4.5% stake in Katılımevim. Is this information true? 9??Did you previously monitor the activities of the firms linked to this fund network that betrayed our people and our esteemed President? ??Is there a report you prepared? If so, did you present this report to the relevant minister and institutions, and did you inform these institutions about potential risks? DEAR BRSA PRESIDENT. These are extremely serious and grave allegations. The public is waiting for an answer from you regarding these allegations.
