AKP Deputy Chairman Mustafa Şen made statements regarding the ongoing fund investigation during his party's Extended District Advisory Council Meeting in the Yenice district of Karabük.
In his assessment of the investigation process, Şen said, "Those who reach out for the nation's money and bread are reaching out for what is forbidden, and they will be punished. Have no doubt about that."
Some have reached out for the nation's money, its bread, and what is forbidden. In the words of our President, 'There is no such thing as washing dirty linen in private for us.' That arm will turn gangrenous, and that arm will be amputated. That is how it will be, be sure of that. Our courts are working, there are nearly 200 people in custody. Whatever the law dictates, the penalty will be given.
Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's will on this matter is firm, Şen said that the party would continue its work without getting stuck on these processes.
Touching upon technology, space studies, and the defense industry in his speech, Şen claimed that a Turkish spacecraft would land on the Moon within a few years.
Pointing out that young software developers and engineers are playing a role in these efforts, Şen stated that Turkey is "far ahead of the world" in certain areas of the defense industry.
