Van, Çağlayan, Gaziosmanpaşa! Intense objections continue after local elections...
In Van, despite the DEM Party winning the election, the mandate was given to the AKP candidate after the Ministry of Justice revoked Abdullah Zeydan's prohibited rights. Following the decision, the DEM Party filed an application for the cancellation of the election, and the DEM Party co-chairs made statements in the region. The decision also spread to the Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul. Additionally, recounts and clashes continue in Gaziosmanpaşa. Here is a step-by-step look at the election objections in the East and West...
Despite DEM Party candidate Abdullah Zeydan receiving over 55 percent of the vote, his prohibited rights were revoked by the Ministry of Justice.
Following this development, the mandate was given to AKP's Abdulahat Arvas instead of Zeydan. While discussions continue in the region, DEM Party co-chairs, TİP Chairman Erkan Baş, and a CHP delegation have traveled to the area.
As the demonstrations continue, DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan addressed Abdulahat Arvas as follows:
"YOU ARE DOOMED TO LOSE"
"If you are Kurdish, if you are human, if you are a person of faith, if you are from these lands, do not fall for this game. Tomorrow, when you walk the streets and avenues of Van, you will have to hang your head in shame. Do not stand with the AKP-MHP that will usurp this will."
Bakırhan also called on the government, stating, "We are once again addressing the AKP-MHP government from here. If you try to usurp the will of this people, you are doomed to lose."
Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları stated the following:
"We are calling out to the YSK (Supreme Election Council) from here: The Provincial Election Board has made this decision with one dissenting vote. But we also filed an objection this morning. Until this objection is accepted and Abdullah Zeydan is given his mandate, our democratic struggle with you will continue in the strongest way possible. We will be in Van when this process results in a positive decision."
EVENTS SPREAD TO ÇAĞLAYAN
Following the Van decision, the events spread to the Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul.
Intervention took place against lawyers who wanted to hold a protest march in the area, in accordance with the ban by the Kağıthane District Governorship.
While the lawyers were being intervened against, 1 person was detained following the incidents.
After the protests, the lawyers entered the courthouse under police supervision.
EVENTS IN GAZİOSMANPAŞA
A scuffle broke out in the Gaziosmanpaşa district, which the CHP won by 879 votes, following a request for a recount of the votes.
CHP members reacted to the fact that while recounts are not being repeated in places where the CHP lost by a small margin, the AKP's objections are being accepted.

The CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair stated that CHP's Bahçetepe had increased his lead by 12 votes and asked for support from the citizens.
Çelik also said the following in a post on X:
"As a result of our objection regarding the District Election Board's recount decision in Gaziosmanpaşa, the fact that one of the three election boards insists on a recount while the YSK is in session is a result of political pressure.
I spoke with the Istanbul Governor regarding the images of chaos that emerged at the District Election Board; the necessary security measures will be taken.
We will not allow the will that emerged from the ballot box to be changed behind closed doors. We are at our posts with our deputies and our organization."

1ST AND 2ND ELECTION BOARDS ALSO CALLED FOR A RECOUNT
AK Party Istanbul Deputy Adem Yıldırım said that after the 3rd election board, the 1st and 2nd election boards also approved it.
Yıldırım stated the following:
"After the Gaziosmanpaşa 3rd Election Board, the 1st and 2nd Election Boards have also started a recount as a result of our struggle, may it be auspicious."
"GOP" REACTION TO SOYLU
CHP Istanbul Deputy Gökhan Günaydın reacted to AKP's Süleyman Soylu and said the following:
"Take your dirty hands off Gaziosmanpaşa..
In the GOP election, which we won by a margin of 970 votes, upon the objection made, another scandal was signed by not limiting it to invalid votes, and it was decided to recount all votes.
While the result of our objection to the YSK should be awaited, they are insistently trying to start the count..
Former Minister, take your hands off GOP!
Stop doing wrong things in the municipality!
We do not eat rights, and we will not let our rights be eaten."
