Why did MHP deputies resign?
MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın announced that, following an internal party investigation, the resignations of Isparta Deputy Hasan Basri Sönmez, Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül, and Kilis Deputy Mustafa Demir were requested and their resignation letters were accepted. In their statement, the resigning deputies said, "We are at the command of our leader and our party until our last breath."

WHY WERE THE DEPUTIES MADE TO RESIGN FROM THE MHP?
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın announced that, as a result of an investigation conducted within the party, the resignations of Isparta Deputy Hasan Basri Sönmez, Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül, and Kilis Deputy Mustafa Demir were requested and these resignations were accepted. No explanation was provided regarding the reasons for the resignation requests. Following this development, implicit posts were made by senior MHP officials.
On the other hand, according to a report in the Sözcü newspaper, it was alleged that the three deputies were accused of smuggling gold into Turkey.

According to the statement made by Semih Yalçın via his X account, the resignations of Isparta Deputy Hasan Basri Sönmez, Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül, and Kilis Deputy Mustafa Demir were requested by the party leadership. The deputies' resignation letters were accepted after being reviewed. With this development, the number of MHP deputies in Parliament has fallen to 47.
