Communication Directorate to hire personnel without KPSS

The Directorate of Communications has issued an exam announcement for the recruitment of 15 assistant communication specialists. According to the announcement, the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) requirement will not be sought for applications.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, eligible candidates include graduates from specific faculties and departments providing at least four years of undergraduate education. Accordingly, 5 people will be hired from faculties of political sciences, economics and administrative sciences, business administration, and economics; 8 from communication faculties; and 2 from computer engineering and software engineering departments. Candidates who have graduated from domestic or foreign institutions whose equivalence is accepted by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) will also be able to apply.

Applications will be made through the website of the Gazi University Measurement and Evaluation Application and Research Center. All candidates who meet the application requirements will be invited to a preliminary written competitive examination.

The exam application fee has been set at 1,100 liras. Candidates who do not pay the fee will not be admitted to the exam. No refunds will be made if the candidate withdraws their application.

The recruitment process will consist of three stages: a preliminary written exam, a field-specific written exam, and an oral exam. Among those who score 70 or higher in the multiple-choice preliminary exam, candidates up to 20 times the number of vacant positions will be called for the field-specific written exam.

To be considered successful in the field-specific exam, a score of at least 70 will be required. Among the candidates who pass this stage, a maximum of 4 times the number of positions to be filled will be admitted to the oral exam.

The announcement stated that the oral exam could be held after the written exam following the preliminary exam; it was also noted that, provided it is stated in the entrance exam announcement, it is possible to proceed to the oral exam without holding a written exam after the preliminary screening.

Candidates will be able to file objections regarding the exam within 7 days. A fee of 250 liras will be paid for question objections during the application process.
