New steps to increase digitalization in public services have been included in the 2027 Presidential Annual Program. Within the scope of the program, it is planned to develop a prototype of a national digital identity wallet that will include basic identity and diploma documents, with public employees being the priority.
The goal is to improve the design and delivery of digital public services through the restructuring of processes. The prototype to be prepared in this context is planned to be tested at a higher education institution to be determined as a pilot.
The work will be carried out under the responsibility of the Presidency of Cyber Security. The Ministry of Interior and relevant public institutions and organizations will also be involved in the process through cooperation.
The program also includes new developments for the e-Government Gateway. It aims to highlight integrated services through common payment and identity verification applications, and to ensure standardization in municipal services.
As of September 2026, a total of 9 thousand 436 services from 1 thousand 130 institutions and organizations, including central public institutions, municipalities and their subsidiaries, universities, and private institutions, are provided through the e-Government Gateway. Next year, the number of registered users is targeted to reach 71 million, the number of services to 10 thousand, and the number of mobile services to 7 thousand 500.
