Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models at an event held on September 9 at 20:00 Turkey time. While the new Pro series largely retains the design language of last year, it stands out with its camera, performance, battery life, and Apple Intelligence features.

One of the most notable innovations in the series is the new 48 MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. Apple stated that this system offers users more control and that the new Pro controls in the Camera app allow for personalizing the shooting experience.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NEW PRO SERIES

The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. Apple stated that both models use a smaller and more functional Dynamic Island. The change in design is not radical in the transition from the iPhone 17 Pro to the iPhone 18 Pro; the main emphasis is more on hardware and artificial intelligence features.

The new models come with the A20 Pro processor and a next-generation vapor chamber system. According to Apple, this structure aims for the highest sustained performance level in iPhone history. It was stated that thanks to the larger battery of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, it offers up to 6 hours more video playback time compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

On the Apple Intelligence side, it was emphasized that Siri will work more effectively on personal tasks and detailed commands. It was stated that the new Siri can search within messages using voice commands and present results in seconds, and that it works with hundreds of applications including WhatsApp and Gmail. It was also noted that camera settings can be managed via Siri.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will go on sale in black, silver, ice blue, and new burgundy color options. It was announced that orders will begin on Saturday, September 12, and general sales will start on Friday, September 18.
