Rockstar Games' highly anticipated game, GTA 6, has taken center stage in the gaming industry with its pre-order figures ahead of its official release. According to estimates shared by Sensor Tower, the game has reached a total of 7.71 million pre-orders across PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
The most striking detail in the data is the gap between the consoles. Estimates suggest that 74 percent of the pre-orders occurred on the PlayStation side. This picture shows that Sony's console has established a clear advantage over Xbox in early demand for GTA 6.
PLAYSTATION AHEAD, REVENUE EXPECTATIONS ARE HIGH
According to Sensor Tower's model, the total gross revenue from consoles has reached 751 million dollars. It is estimated that 559 million dollars of this revenue came from PlayStation, while 129 million dollars came from the Xbox platform.

The exact breakdown of the distribution between versions in pre-orders has not yet been clarified. However, according to data previously reported by Sensor Tower, 89 percent of the orders were placed for the 100-dollar Ultimate Edition. Considering that premium versions usually remain in the 10 to 20 percent band in the industry, this rate reveals the scale of the demand for GTA 6.
It is projected that the number of sales could approach 25 million and generate approximately 2 billion dollars in revenue by the game's official release on November 19. If this happens, GTA 6 could become one of the largest entertainment products to cover its development and marketing costs in a very short time during its launch period.
