Xbox rejects Netflix's $500 million adaptation offer

It has been claimed that negotiations with Netflix regarding Xbox's plans to bring its gaming brands to the world of cinema and television have ended without result. According to information reported by Puck News, Netflix presented a $500 million offer to Xbox to turn its popular game series into film and series projects.

According to the report, Xbox did not find the offer sufficient and demanded $800 million for the deal. The $300 million gap between the parties prevented the progress of a potential collaboration that could have covered brands such as Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War.

Xbox has recently been taking steps to ensure its games are not limited solely to the gaming sector. It is stated that the company has established a new department called XP for this purpose and aims to open its gaming universes to film and television projects.

It is stated that the negotiations are not continuing at this stage. It was noted that Netflix's Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria was in a decision-making position during the process, and that plans regarding Xbox were shelved following Bajaria's departure.
