Abdullah Avcı: We lost the score, not the game

Trabzonspor left their away match against Alanyaspor in the 28th week of the Süper Lig with a 3-1 defeat. After the match, the burgundy-blues' head coach Abdullah Avcı made statements.

Trabzonspor head coach Abdullah Avcı said, "We finished a first half in which we played very well, 2-0 behind. We had our chances. One of them is something that shouldn't happen. The second goal was a situation we never encountered on the pitch. These things are part of the game; mistakes can happen. The first ball that came our way became a goal. As of the second half, even one goal would have brought us back into the game. We needed to attack repeatedly. We did it from time to time, and at other times we couldn't. Opportunities came, and we gave opportunities to the opponent. We didn't deserve this in the overall game. We didn't lose in terms of the game, but we lost in terms of the score.
