National billiards player Güzin Müjde Karakaşlı has maintained her dominance in Turkey following the world championship title she earned in September. Karakaşlı reached the top of the general classification in the women's category for the third consecutive time at the Turkish Championship held in Ankara.
The final matches of the 3-Cushion Billiards U17, U21, and Women's Turkish Championships, held at the Turkish Billiards Federation's facilities in Ankara between October 24-29, have concluded. Competing in the women's category, Karakaşlı finished the tournament in first place, continuing her successful streak in recent times.
Karakaşlı had won the gold medal at the Women's World Championship held in Bordeaux, France, last September. With this result, the national athlete, who brought Turkey its first world championship in the women's category, added another title to her career with her success in Ankara.
The national billiards player is also aiming for medals in the European and world championships to be hosted by Turkey in 2027. Karakaşlı's goal is to continue her series of successes by representing Turkey in the best possible way in international organizations.
