Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko, whose contract with Fenerbahçe has expired, has officially bid farewell to the Yellow-Navy team. While the experienced striker's new destination is a matter of curiosity, a surprise claim has been made.
Defensa Central, known for its proximity to Real Madrid, has announced that the La Liga giant is interested in Edin Dzeko.
According to the report, young manager Xabi Alonso, who has taken charge of Real Madrid, wants to bring an experienced name to the team's bench. In this direction, one of the names he has added to his agenda is Edin Dzeko. It is also stated that Ante Budimir, who plays for Osasuna, is on the list.
It is stated that Alonso aims to maintain the efficiency he received from Joselu in the team last season with an experienced striker of a similar profile. The club's transfer policy seeks names that will not cause problems on the bench and can contribute when necessary, without spending large sums.
While it is reported that the club management has begun contacting players who are low-cost but can steer the game in critical moments with their high experience, direct negotiations with Edin Dzeko are expected to take place shortly.
Edin Dzeko, who played for two seasons during his Fenerbahçe career, displayed a significant performance by scoring 46 goals and providing 18 assists in a total of 99 matches.
