Former Fenerbahçe player Edin Dzeko is expected to continue his career in Germany. It has been stated that the Bosnian striker has reached an agreement on a new contract with Schalke, the team he transferred to during the mid-season break last year.
It was reported that the 40-year-old forward has traveled to Germany to complete official procedures and undergo medical examinations. Dzeko is expected to sign the contract after his medical checks and join team training on Tuesday.
According to reports in the German press, negotiations between Schalke and Dzeko took longer than planned, but the parties have reached a 1-year agreement. It was stated that the experienced player will receive a guaranteed annual salary of 900 thousand euros, a figure that could rise to 1.3 million euros with performance-based bonuses.
