Kasımpaşa manager Emre Belözoğlu made statements regarding current events during the press conference held after their 2-2 draw with Beşiktaş in the league. Belözoğlu also responded to a question about his name being mentioned for the managerial position at Fenerbahçe.
Stating that Fenerbahçe has a special place in his career and life, Belözoğlu said he experienced both difficult and happy times at the yellow-navy club. The experienced manager remarked, "Fenerbahçe will always have a special place in my heart as well."

However, emphasizing that he is not the subject of the matter in the current situation, Belözoğlu expressed that Fenerbahçe is a large community and that such decisions will be shaped by the evaluations of those who manage the club and the elders of the community.
Belözoğlu stated that he does not find the expression "aspiring" to the managerial position to be correct, saying, "You do not aspire to that position at Fenerbahçe; those who manage the club and the executives deem you worthy of that position at Fenerbahçe."
Stating that his own focus is on Kasımpaşa, Belözoğlu expressed that he bears responsibility toward his players and his club. Noting that they are doing important work at Kasımpaşa, the young manager added that he always wants Fenerbahçe to be a strong team that wins championships.
