Fenerbahçe Sports Club has issued a statement regarding allegations reported in the press concerning President Aziz Yıldırım and board members Batuhan Özdemir, Savaş Adalet, and Ömer Onan. The yellow-navy club stated that the claims contained in the reports in question do not reflect the truth.
In the statement released by the club, it was noted that the allegations were "completely untrue and a product of imagination," and comments suggesting a crisis within the management were rejected.
The statement noted that Batuhan Özdemir and Savaş Adalet traveled via a scheduled flight to watch the Barcelona-Real Madrid match in person. It was also stated that Ömer Onan, who was mentioned in the reports, has not traveled to Barcelona in the last two years.
Fenerbahçe announced that the claims suggesting Aziz Yıldırım had assigned any duties to the aforementioned board members regarding the football team, or that he had reacted to the Barcelona trip or demanded their resignations, were also untrue.
The club's statement emphasized that the conversations alleged to have taken place in the reports did not occur, stating, "The alleged management crisis is in no way the case." Fenerbahçe requested that the public not give credence to baseless reports aimed at creating a perception of division within the club's management.
