Harsh words from Ergin Ataman to Olympiacos coach Bartzokas: 'Don't be so jealous'
Panathinaikos head coach Ergin Ataman spoke out following the victory over Olympiacos.
In the Greek Basket League, Panathinaikos defeated Olympiacos 83-76, narrowing the gap in the final series to 2-1.
Panathinaikos Head Coach Ergin Ataman made statements following the match.
Speaking about Olympiacos Head Coach Georgios Bartzokas, Ataman said, "I heard that Bartzokas talked about me in the press conference. Please, my friend, stop talking about me. I am doing my job, and you should do yours. There is no need to be so jealous.
Maybe one day in the future, you too can win the EuroLeague with Olympiacos. Also, I heard you said something in the last meeting in Piraeus about my penalty and why I received it. The referee gave me a penalty, but you do your job! Do not mention me in the press conference, make your comments about the game" he stated.
'WE SHOWED THAT WE ARE THE BETTER TEAM'
Speaking about the match, Ergin Ataman said, "Today we played basketball and showed that we are a better team than Olympiacos. Let's play basketball on Wednesday and try to win.
If Olympiacos plays better, we will congratulate them, but let us play basketball" he stated.
The fourth game of the final series between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos will be played on Wednesday.
