Official statement released regarding the foreign player rule in the Süper Lig

Clubs Association Foundation President Ertuğrul Doğan made a statement regarding the foreign player rule in the Süper Lig.

Doğan stated that the current 10+4 rule will continue and that no changes will be made.

Ertuğrul Doğan used the following expressions in his statement:

"There will be no change to the foreign player rule. A rule change is not on the agenda. The Clubs Association had made a decision 3 weeks or a month ago, and before that, 4 months ago.

We spoke with the TFF, and they said they would not go back on their decision. A month ago, our various clubs had their opinions, there were those who opposed it, and we made a decision.

The TFF informed us that the decision would not change. After this meeting, I spoke with Mr. Hacıosmanoğlu again. The clubs have already made their plans. Trabzonspor had voted for the rule to be changed.

We supported it too, but we also made our restructuring according to this rule. Trabzonspor would not look favorably on a change at this point. The TFF's decision is also clear; I do not think the rule will change."
