Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho announces another transfer
Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva has transferred to Real Madrid, signing a two-year contract.
Spanish football powerhouse Real Madrid continues to make waves in the transfer market. Experienced player Bernardo Silva, whose contract with Manchester City has expired, has officially reached an agreement with Real Madrid and will take the field for his new team for two years.
There had been various transfer rumors surrounding the Portuguese star from leading European clubs. The midfielder, who also drew interest from Galatasaray, was pursued by Benfica, Barcelona, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid. However, the 31-year-old footballer chose the Spanish giant.
One of the key figures in the transfer was Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho. It is stated that Mourinho, who recently took charge of the club, showed great desire to bring Bernardo Silva to the team. Following the negotiations, Silva accepted Real Madrid's offer.
In the past season, Bernardo Silva played in a total of 53 matches for Manchester City, finding the back of the net three times and providing five assists.
