Serdal Adalı made the following statement on his social media account:

Dear Beşiktaş fans;

Unfortunately, they have ruined a day that we hoped would be pleasant, filled with the positive impact of the happy news we were sharing with our community.

The events that took place at our Council Board meeting today have deeply saddened our community.

These images and these events do not befit Beşiktaş, the pioneering club of Turkish sports.

Since the day we took office, while we have been calling for unity and solidarity and stating that our community needs a fresh start, our goal was precisely to prevent such scenes.

The Beşiktaş community has not gone through easy days; we are all in a difficult process due to what has been inflicted upon Beşiktaş, but with this new era, we must normalize as soon as possible and use our energy for the success of Beşiktaş.

If we, as individuals, do not rid ourselves of this psychology, we cannot do what is necessary to save Beşiktaş from its current situation.

These images, which led us to sadness, anger, and shame today, will remain as a bad memory, and such events will not happen again under the roof of Beşiktaş.

We will return Beşiktaş to the culture we all know, love, and represent, and to its identity, which is a collection of values. We will achieve this with unity and solidarity as a community.

Such actions and rhetoric have not the slightest benefit to our Beşiktaş. If there is a decision to be made, a penalty to be imposed, or an action to be taken, we will do what is necessary all together after the decisions of the supreme Turkish justice system.

I hope that what happened today will not be repeated, and I wish our football team success in the Başakşehir match.
