The İsmail Kartal era has come to an end at Fenerbahçe following their 2-1 defeat in the Galatasaray derby. The yellow-navy club announced to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the decision for Kartal to step down was accepted by mutual agreement.
Following the decision to part ways, all eyes have turned to who the new manager will be. While the management is expected to make a decision shortly, the possibility of Dirk Kuyt taking charge of the team during the transition period has also come to the fore.

PROMINENT NAMES ON THE CANDIDATE LIST
Among the names mentioned for the yellow-navy club is Vincenzo Montella. The Italian manager, who left his post at the Turkish National Football Team, had previously worked at Adana Demirspor. Montella's close familiarity with Turkish football is considered one of the key factors among the potential candidates.

Aykut Kocaman, one of Fenerbahçe's former managers, is also being shown as a domestic candidate on the agenda. Kocaman's history with the club and his bond with the yellow-navy community are among the factors influencing the renewed discussion of his name.

Another domestic candidate is Emre Belözoğlu. Having served at Fenerbahçe as both a player and a manager, Belözoğlu has recently drawn attention with his performance at Kasımpaşa. His intimate knowledge of the club's structure keeps his name among the options.

Abdullah Avcı has also become one of the names discussed for the managerial seat. Having won a Süper Lig title with Trabzonspor, Avcı had also competed for the title at Başakşehir and served at Beşiktaş.

The name of Volkan Demirel, one of Fenerbahçe's former captains, is also on the list. Having spent a significant portion of his playing career with the yellow-navy team, Demirel had previously stated that his bond with Fenerbahçe continued after his managerial experience.

One of the surprising names drawing attention on the list is Selçuk İnan. One of Galatasaray's former captains, İnan began his managerial career after his playing days and has served at various teams in the Süper Lig.

Among the foreign candidates, José Luis Mendilibar also stands out. The Spanish manager, who has worked at teams like Sevilla and Olympiacos, is considered one of the names evaluated for his experience in European football and the successes he has achieved.

It has not yet been clarified which name the Fenerbahçe management will decide on for the managerial position. Official statements from the yellow-navy club are awaited.
