U.S. Soccer Federation extends Mauricio Pochettino's contract until 2030

The U.S. Soccer Federation has decided to continue its journey with national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino. In a statement released by the federation, it was reported that the Argentine manager's contract has been extended until 2030.

With this decision, Pochettino will continue his role at the helm of the U.S. National Team within the framework of a long-term plan. The federation's move to extend the contract is seen as a sign of confidence in the technical staff in line with the goal for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Under Pochettino's management, the U.S., one of the co-hosts, had advanced to the round of 16 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At that stage, the U.S. was eliminated from the tournament after a 4-1 loss to Belgium.

The U.S. side aims to prepare more strongly for the 2030 World Cup by continuing its squad restructuring under Pochettino's leadership in the new period.
