The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has published its "Women in Statistics" report for 2024.
According to this report, the number of women in Sivas has become higher than that of men. In Sivas, where the population decreased by 13 thousand 394 people compared to 2023, the total population was determined to be 637 thousand 7.
Of this population, 319 thousand 355 are women, while 317 thousand 652 are men. Proportionally, women are represented at 50.13%, while men are represented at 49.87%.
This change in Sivas could have an impact on the city's migration dynamics and socio-economic structure. Furthermore, according to the data in the TÜİK report, the average age at first marriage in Sivas was recorded as 28 for men and 25.6 for women.
