Founding Provincial President Mustafa Bak emerged as the winner in the primary election held for the YENİ Party's Trabzon Provincial Presidency. Bak won the race by receiving 4 thousand 182 votes.
Mustafa Bak and Güzide Önsel Uzun competed in the primary election in Trabzon. In the election, which was described as highly competitive, the number of votes received by Uzun remained at 1729.
Speaking after the results, Bak emphasized unity and solidarity within the party. Stating that the YENİ Party set out with the "will of the people" behind it, Bak noted that a process in which internal democracy was exercised had taken place.
In his speech, Bak expressed that they would embrace all members without leaving room for resentment or bitterness, and gave the message, "We will grow this struggle without leaving anyone behind." Bak also said that they had ignited the fire of the struggle for power from Trabzon.
