In a session held in the U.S. Senate, a bill aimed at limiting the Washington administration's authority in conflicts occurring in Iran was put to a vote.

The bill, introduced by Democratic Senatör Kirsten Gillibrand and intended to restrict U.S. President Donald Trump's military powers regarding Iran, was rejected in the Senate by 50 votes to 49.

Thus, the Senate has seen its second attempt in the last two weeks to end Trump's military operations against Iran result in failure.

During the vote, 3 Republican senators voted in favor of the bill, while 1 Democratic senator voted against it.

One senator, who was not on duty due to health issues, did not participate in the vote.
