Claim that 'US Department of War' change will cost billions of dollars

The US press has suggested that US President Donald Trump's decision to change the name of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) to the Department of War could result in excessive government spending. A report by the US-based news site Politico stated that many US officials reacted with anger and surprise to the President's signing of the decree yesterday that mandates the name change. In line with the decision Trump submitted to the US Congress, it is estimated that the department's seals will need to be replaced at more than 700,000 facilities affiliated with the US Department of Defense across 50 US states and 40 different countries. Changes are expected in many areas, ranging from letterheads used by the 6 branches of the US military and dozens of various agencies, to napkins in dining halls, embroidered jackets of officials confirmed by the US Senate, and small items in the Pentagon's official gift shop.
