Israeli state television KAN claimed that at least 10 US military transport aircraft landed at the Ovda and Nevatim air bases in southern Israel within the last 24 hours. The report stated that the shipments occurred at a time when Washington is increasing its military activity in the Middle East.
It was reported that some of the aircraft took off from the Fort Bliss base in the US state of Texas. According to KAN, this activity may be intended to replenish military stockpiles in Israel and deliver additional air defense systems, such as Patriots, to the region.
The report also alleged that US military transport aircraft were sent not only to Israel but also to military bases in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. It is assessed that the shipments to the region may be linked to the goal of strengthening air defenses.
IRAN OPTIONS ON THE AGENDA
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper briefed US President Donald Trump on possible attack options against Iran. It was stated that US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine also attended the briefing.
An Israeli official speaking to KAN said that the US and Israel are in close coordination regarding military preparations. The same official stated that no decision has been made yet, but that both countries are preparing for a possible decision that Trump may make.
The US administration has not officially confirmed the shipments regarding the transport aircraft reported to have been sent to Israel, nor that a decision for a possible attack on Iran has been made.
