Death toll in Gaza rises to 61,897

The death toll from the attacks Israel has been carrying out on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, continues to rise. In a statement made by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, it was reported that 70 people lost their lives and 385 were injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza in the last 24 hours.

With the latest figures shared by the Ministry, the number of people who have lost their lives in the attacks Israel has carried out since October 7, 2023, has reached 61,897, and the number of injured has reached 155,660. It was noted that 10,362 people have lost their lives and 43,619 have been injured in the attacks that have occurred since March 18, 2025, the date Israel unilaterally terminated the ceasefire agreement.

The Ministry's statement also reported that 26 people lost their lives and 175 were injured as a result of Israel opening fire during humanitarian aid distributions in the region in the last 24 hours. With the latest data, the number of people who have lost their lives during aid distributions has reached 1,924, and the number of injured has reached 14,288.

The statement also indicated that 11 civilians, including one child, lost their lives due to hunger and malnutrition in Gaza in the last 24 hours, and stated that the number of people who have lost their lives in Gaza due to hunger and malnutrition has risen to 251, including 108 children.
