Elon Musk backtracks in Trump dispute

The crisis between US President Donald Trump and US billionaire Elon Musk, which began over a tax cut bill, has turned into a heated dispute. During the argument, the US billionaire Musk deleted his social media post that read, "Time to drop the real bombshell. Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they are not being released to the public."

THE TRUMP-MUSK FEUD

In a post on his social media account regarding the budget bill signed by US President Trump, Elon Musk had described the bill as a "disgusting disgrace." Musk stated, "Sorry, but I can't take it anymore. This massive, exorbitant Congressional spending bill is a disgusting disgrace. Shame on those who voted for it. You know you did wrong."

US President Donald Trump, during his meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House, responded to Elon Musk's criticisms of the tax cut law, stating that he had "always liked" Musk but was "disappointed" by his recent criticisms. Explaining that the removal of the electric vehicle mandate had bothered Musk, Trump said, "Musk knew this bill better than anyone, but he caused problems later."

MUSK'S EPSTEIN POST

Elon Musk later responded to Trump's remarks about him, saying, "If it weren't for me, Trump would have lost the election. The Democrats would control the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would be 51 to 49 in the Senate. How ungrateful."

Addressing the reason why the files related to the case of US billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of establishing a sexual abuse ring targeting young girls, were not made public, Musk had said, "Time to drop the real bombshell. Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they are not being released to the public."
