Hailstorm and storm in northern Italy: At least 10,000 vehicles damaged

A storm that occurred yesterday afternoon in the northern Italian city of Cremona caused massive destruction in just ten minutes. Hail and strong winds blew off roofs, uprooted trees, and damaged at least 10,000 vehicles and ten churches. At least 43 people were injured due to the storm, and numerous families were evacuated.

The city's mayor, Andrea Virgilio, stated that the scale of the damage is unimaginable. Local media reported that none of the 43 injured people taken to the hospital—who were hurt by golf-ball-sized hail, flying debris, or falling trees—are in critical condition.

Firefighters and emergency teams worked throughout the night to remove fallen trees, clear debris, and provide support to citizens in need.
