Iran announced that the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which approached the country's maritime borders in the Sea of Oman, was targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Revolutionary Guards Navy and that the ship has moved away from the region.

In a statement made by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it was stated, "The US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which approached to within approximately 340 kilometers of Iran's maritime borders in the Sea of Oman to control the Strait of Hormuz, was targeted by UAVs belonging to the IRGC Navy."
The statement added that the targeted aircraft carrier, along with its accompanying destroyers, rapidly moved away from the region and has traveled more than a thousand kilometers from the area so far.
