Lightning strikes in Pakistan: Many dead
At least 25 people have lost their lives after being struck by lightning during heavy rainfall in Pakistan's Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh provinces.
Pakistan's Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh provinces have been hit by heavy rainfall.
In Punjab, 16 people lost their lives due to lightning strikes in different locations. In Balochistan, 8 people lost their lives, while 1 fatality occurred in Sindh province.
It was stated that most of those who lost their lives were agricultural workers.
Additionally, many people were injured due to the lightning and were taken to hospitals, while damage also occurred to some homes.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department stated that the rainfall will continue and warned the public to stay indoors, especially during thunderstorms.
