39-year-old Alisa Nikolova-Merx, who lives in the German city of Schlüchtern, arrived in Istanbul from Sofia on October 18.

After her relatives reported that they had not heard from Nikolova-Merx since October 23, the Hessian police launched an investigation.

Publishing a photograph of the missing woman, the German police announced that Alisa Nikolova-Merx was last seen at Istanbul Airport and that she might be in a desperate and vulnerable state.

It was revealed that she canceled her return ticket and is receiving treatment in the hospital

As a result of the investigations, it was determined that Alisa Nikolova-Merx had purchased a plane ticket to return to Frankfurt on October 23, but she canceled this ticket and did not board the flight.

It was discovered that the German woman, who was learned to have been staying at a hotel in Istanbul, was taken to Taksim Training and Research Hospital after hitting her head and that her treatment is ongoing.
