New act in the tension between Trump and Elon Musk: References to "derailed" and "train wreck"
U.S. leader Donald Trump has sharpened his criticisms of entrepreneur Elon Musk, comparing recent developments in the last few weeks to a "derailed train wreck."
The war of words between U.S. President Donald Trump and tech mogul Elon Musk has reached a new dimension. In a statement on Truth Social, Trump expressed that Musk's attitude over the last five weeks has "completely derailed" and "resembles a train wreck."
Trump's statements also touched upon Musk's desire to establish a third political party in America. The former president argued that such parties in the country generally create instability and chaos. Furthermore, he claimed that the current system is not conducive to such initiatives, stating, "We have already seen enough chaos from the radical left Democrats."
Emphasizing that Republicans have just implemented "the most comprehensive bill in the country's history," Trump noted that this regulation ends practices that mandated the purchase of electric vehicles (EVs). At this point, he assessed that "this was unfortunate for Musk."
Trump also said that people can now buy the types of vehicles they want, and that the popularity of hybrid and gasoline-powered cars continues. He stated that with the removal of the electric vehicle mandate, more options are being offered to citizens.

In Trump's words, "I had been fighting for this for the last two years, and when Elon gave me his unconditional support, I thought he knew the changes I would bring. It was clear in every speech I made." He also stated that he was cautious about the suggestion to appoint someone from Musk's inner circle to head NASA.
"It saddens me to watch Elon Musk 'derail' and become a 'train wreck' in recent weeks," said Trump, underlining that protecting the American people is the most fundamental priority.
Entrepreneur Elon Musk, on the other hand, drew attention to the importance of questioning the two-party political system in a post on the X platform on U.S. Independence Day. Musk announced that two-thirds of the participants in the "Should we form the America Party?" poll he initiated were warm to the idea.
Trump, meanwhile, had characterized Musk's idea of forming a new party as "ridiculous," emphasizing that he did not support this initiative.
