Qatar: US and Iran have not reached a comprehensive agreement, parties should seek compromise

Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani announced that a comprehensive agreement has not been reached in the contacts held between the US and Iran.

In his assessment to the press on Friday, Al Thani said that the parties need to adopt a more flexible stance in the negotiation process. The Qatari Prime Minister called on Washington and Tehran to move toward an acceptable compromise rather than seeking a "perfect" deal.

The Doha administration is acting as a mediator in diplomatic contacts aimed at ending the conflict between the US and Iran. It is stated that Qatar has been continuing its traffic of proposals and messages in recent days to reduce the differences between the two sides.

Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari also stated in a statement on November 3 that the US and Iran were evaluating the proposals presented by Qatar and that the parties remained committed to the negotiation process.

The lack of a comprehensive outcome from the talks has also brought assessments regarding the possibility of renewed military escalation in the region to the agenda. According to a report by Shafaq News, it was claimed that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has completed preparations for a return to potential military operations.

The report stated that US President Donald Trump is evaluating options such as launching new attacks against Iran, maintaining economic pressure, or reaching an agreement that includes concessions.

Secretary of the Iranian National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei announced on Thursday that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow focused on the post-war period and security arrangements in the region.
