The Russian Federal Security Service announced that they received information from the US regarding a potential terrorist attack planned in the capital, Moscow.
It was stated that necessary security measures were taken in line with the information received through established joint channels.
In a statement from the US Embassy in Moscow, it was reported that they were aware of a serious threat of an attack at the Tsaritsyno Palace Museum in Moscow that could result in the loss of many lives, and that the US government was working in coordination with Russian authorities.
Reports in the Russian press, citing security sources, noted that the Tsaritsyno Museum, which consists of a palace museum and park complex located in the south of Moscow, was temporarily closed and access to the park was restricted.
The US Embassy in Moscow had also issued a warning in March 2024 regarding plans by various groups to carry out an attack in Moscow in the near future. Days after this warning, an armed attack was carried out on the Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow, and 149 people lost their lives.
