43-year-old Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes had attempted to take her deceased uncle in a wheelchair to the bank to take out a loan. However, when the man could not sign the papers in front of him, it was realized that he had passed away.
The footage in question made global headlines, and Nunes was taken into custody, with an investigation launched against her.
It was learned that Nunes, who is being investigated for 'desecrating a corpse and attempted theft,' could also face charges of involuntary manslaughter.
