U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has offered the position of White House press secretary to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President and CEO Dana White.
In a post on his social media account, Trump stated, "I am pleased to announce that the great Dana White, a tough fighter and warrior, has been offered the position of U.S. press secretary."
Trump noted that if White accepts the position, he would like him to bring along his team consisting of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris.
Stating that they would need these individuals to defend themselves "against the radical left," Trump said, "Dana will be a press secretary like no other. Dana, please accept this position."
The position of White House press secretary changed last month. Katie Zacharia resigned from her post just five days after replacing the previous spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt.
