Expressing that they are "very concerned" about Israel's attacks on Syria, Rubio said, "We are working on this issue as we speak. I just spoke on the phone with the relevant parties. We are very concerned about this and I hope we will have some updates later today."
The Israeli military had launched airstrikes on the capital Damascus, targeting the area where the Presidential Palace is located, as well as General Staff headquarters and the city of Daraa, citing clashes between government forces and Druze in the Syrian city of As-Suwayda. So far, 1 person has lost their life and 18 people have been injured in the Israeli attacks.
