US statement on visit to Turkey: 'Cooperation against the threat...'

A statement regarding Turkey has been released by the US Department of State. According to the statement, Ambassador Elizabeth Richard, the department's Coordinator for Counterterrorism, will visit Ankara today (22.04.2024) for the US-Turkey Counterterrorism Consultations.
"WILL EXPAND AND STRENGTHEN COOPERATION AGAINST TERRORISM"
The following information was included in the statement:
"Ambassador Richard and her counterparts from the Turkish government will expand and strengthen US-Turkey counterterrorism cooperation to prevent terrorist travel; combat terrorism networks linked to organized crime; ensure the defeat of terrorist organizations such as the PKK, DHKP-C, and ISIS in Syria and Iraq; and cooperate against the threat posed by ISIS and Al-Qaeda affiliates in Africa and South and Central Asia."
It was also reported that Elizabeth Richard "will engage with Turkish officials on ways to further combat the exploitation of global financial channels by terrorist organizations."
